Blog #2-My Goals

Hey again! Excited to be trying out this blog. A feel this is going to be a good opportunity for me to test the waters for different sorts of writing styles. I mostly focus my genre on fantasy, or supernatural types of ideas. Yet I never really have done anything horror or mystery related. I have always thought if I were to do either, they wouldn't grasp the reader or even make them question the story during their free time. Overall, I just feel like it would't leave any type of imprint of who I am as a writer. Yet, considering that all the students in my class are on the same type of scenario, I won't necessarily feel excluded or misplaced. This class really feels like the environment or opportunity to tests my limits to see what potential I really have as a writer. So, who knows what to outcome might prevail as? I would also like to keep myself giving up on myself so easily. I have come across dozens of ideas on pieces of writing that never really lived up to what I hoped for. Either the idea wasn't spacious enough or another idea seemed to overpower it. I need to give every idea the same amount of potential and love as each other. I need to let every dreading outcome to be confined and away from me. I must allow myself to be free of any tension and see what will happen if I have another to worry over. -Erin C.
